Welcome to Agrihood

Agrihood is more than a development — it’s a vision of community that has taken shape through years of input from Santa Clarans, city leaders, and neighbors. From the beginning, the goal was clear: create a place where people of all ages, backgrounds, and incomes can live side by side, surrounded by open space and rooted in Santa Clara’s agricultural past.

Agrihood’s Progress So Far

In 2023, The Core Companies marked a major milestone toward the Agrihood vision: the opening of 165 affordable homes for seniors, including permanent supportive housing, with priority for veterans and car-free households. This also helped realize one of Agrihood’s key goals — opening 1.5 acres of open space that promotes physical and mental well-being for residents and neighbors, including a first-of-its-kind urban farm in Santa Clara that provides fresh produce to low-income seniors.

The community continues to grow. A locally owned coffee shop is now open on-site, with lines out the door each morning — a sign of Agrihood’s spirit coming to life.

Agrihood is nearly complete, but one final parcel remains vacant. Now is the time to finish the vision, and we need your support.

The Core Companies is proposing 44 for-sale townhomes in place of the previously approved apartment project. The proposal offers a realistic path to construction today, rather than waiting for uncertain market conditions to shift in the future. The choice is not 160 apartments or 44 townhomes today. It is between townhomes with a path to construction and an apartment proposal that no longer pencils.
